Francesca Lewis Kennedy brings new work to the Vineyard for her 4^th annual Trunk Show at Louisa Gould Gallery in Vineyard Haven on Saturday, August 16, from 1-5PM. She brings a combination of fabulous pearls and gemstones, as well as metalsmithed pieces which includes necklaces, earrings, cuffs, and bangles. She incorporates meaningful objects and talismans from the around the world, each with its own unique story.

Francesca is from the Bay area of California, but has a great affinity for the Vineyard which keeps her coming back every year. She loves the Chilmark area as a retreat and an inspiration.

The versatility of her jewelry can be worn effortlessly in any season. The simple elegance of her Tahitian Pearl bangles dress up jeans and a t-shirt, while her dramatic chalcedony and onyx necklace is fantastic with that simple black dress. We are very excited about the new metal pieces: reticulated sterling and brass cuffs, bracelets, and earrings are all part of an exploration of metal and what the surfaces can do. She offers pleats, leaves, perforations, inlays, and overlays for terrific textures. As a former clothing designer, she is especially excited about working with the metals as she does with fabric.
