Louisa Gould Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the
annual, “Small Wonders Show”. The show opens Wednesday, November
25, and will be on exhibit through December 27 with an Open House on
Friday, November 27 from 12 to 4pm. Please join us to shop Vineyard
style for the holidays with original artwork by local artists. New
works available for gift giving by the following artists include: Peggy Turner Zablotny, Dona
Dalton, Doug Kent, Kate Lingren, John Holladay, Donna Blackburn,
Suzanne Hill, Martha Mae Jones and more.
Once again there will be hand blown
glass ornaments by Tom Kelly of Vitrix, which have become a collectors item, jewelry by Francesca
Lewis Kennedy and an assortment of card packs of various sizes by
gallery artists. Both John Holladay and Donna Blackburn show small
paintings of Martha's Vineyard, perfect for a small place. Doug
Kent's primitive paintings of fish and farm scenes on wood are always
popular. Suzanne Hill's new saggar firing small vessels are bright
blue and perfect for a gift to oneself. New this year for the show
will be hand carved wooden animals by Dona Dalton (formerly from Shaw
Cramer Gallery), hand made and painted jackets & scarfs by Martha
Mae Jones and an assortment of card packs by
Peggy Turner Zablotny botanical compositions and felts-capes by
Vineyard artist, Kate Lingren. Kate weaves with felt and includes
found beach objects, such as shells and sea glass. Peggy creates
botanical compositions from her Vineyard garden.
The Louisa Gould Gallery showcases over
twenty island artists in addition to regional, national and
international artists. The gallery is open weekends and by
