PRESS RELEASE (MARTHA'S VINEYARD) The Louisa Gould Gallery is honored to present the second solo show of wildlife art by Linda Besse. Wild | Solo Show Linda Besse, opens April 26 and runs till June 20, 2024. Linda is a stable of the Louisa Gould Gallery always showing her maritime and landscape original oils, but she is also a highly collected and sought after wildlife painter.
Wild ranges all over the globe from natural habitats in the Artic, and Antartica, to the African plains to local waterways. Enjoy thirteen original oil paintings on exhibit at the Louisa Gould Gallery or online.
Linda Besse’s connection to Martha’s Vineyard spans generations. This is an opportunity to see another side of her work beyond her striking Vineyard oil paintings. Linda has traveled to all seven continents and more than 45 countries which gives her a unique perspective of the natural world. Her acclaimed wildlife paintings have won many awards including the Oil Painters of America National Animal Award of Excellence, National Oil & Acrylic Painters of America Spring International Best of Show, American Academy of Equine Artists Jean Bowman Award, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Artist of the Year. She is a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America, Society of Animal Artists, and American Society of Marine Artists.
